This project was like my second time ever using prisma colors, and looking back on my first prismacolor drawing it makes me cringe. So i'm very pleased with how I have improved with prismacolors. On the first day of class I was very intimidated because 1. I thought I was taking art 3 not art 4/AP art and 2. I was sitting with Sarah, Tess, and Maddie and they are amazing artists. I now realize it's all ok because sitting with a group of girls like them can really push me to be my best and improve and they can help me along the way. I wouldn't say that i'm completely happy with my finished project because to me it's not finished. I do plan to go back through and fix some things like darkening the wood and really going back through with my browns and shadows. Another thing I plan on fixing is the background. I need to add more darks/shadows and highlights to it, to give the background some form. And probably I will go back and try and see what else I can do to the blue jar. Despite everything I want to fix, I am extremely happy with the jar containing the colored pencils. I love how the lid of the jar turned out and i'm very proud of it. I'm just extremely pleased with how that jar turned out and how the colored pencils turned out. It gives me this kind of hope that I can fix the rest of the drawing because I really rushed through it at the end and it really shows. But mainly I will be happy with it once i just go through and spend some more time on it.
